Vietnam and Cuba Strengthen Solidarity and Cooperation
Vietnam remains committed to deepening and expanding its fraternal solidarity and comprehensive, trustworthy cooperation with Cuba, stated Vietnamese Ambassador Le Quang Long. His remarks followed the presentation of his credentials to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez.
Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasized Vietnam’s enduring gratitude for Cuba’s past assistance and reiterated Vietnam’s unwavering support for the Cuban people’s revolutionary cause.
President Díaz-Canel expressed his appreciation for Vietnam’s solidarity and invaluable support. He reaffirmed Cuba’s dedication to strengthening the solidarity and cooperation between their Parties, States, and peoples, building on the historical and traditional ties fostered by President Ho Chi Minh, President Fidel Castro, and General Raul Castro.
President Díaz-Canel also congratulated Vietnam on the successful organization of events commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. He highlighted the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ readiness to collaborate with Vietnam in preparing for the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, set for 2025.
