He described Trong as an eminent figure who devoted his life to the revolution and the people, always working with a strong revolutionary spirit to develop Vietnam into the beautiful nation President Ho Chi Minh envisioned.

Nguyen Hong Son, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan, lauded Trong’s significant contributions during his tenure as Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee. Trong’s policies on urban development, cultural heritage preservation, and infrastructure improvement transformed Hanoi into a modern yet traditionally beautiful city. Japanese friends were often impressed by Hanoi’s development, attributing it to the local leadership.
As National Assembly Chairman, Trong made crucial decisions that improved the legal system, administrative reform, and the parliament’s supervisory role, contributing to the establishment of a law-governed, democratic, and civilized state. Son added that as Party General Secretary, Trong continued to demonstrate his leadership talent and dedication to the country.
Son believes that OVs will continue to trust and support the homeland, especially appreciating leaders like Trong who work for the people’s sake. Trong’s anti-corruption campaign, in particular, has reinforced trust among the Vietnamese community in Japan.
Le Trung Thanh, a PhD postgraduate in Beijing (China), admired Trong’s high sense of responsibility and care for the economy, society, and people’s lives. He praised Trong’s determination in fighting corruption, leading strong measures to clean the state apparatus, enhance transparency, and promote social equality, thus reinforcing trust in the Party and State.
