FPT Aids Da Nang in Becoming Vietnam’s “Silicon Valley”

FPT is supporting Da Nang in developing and training high-quality human resources for the semiconductor industry, with the vision of transforming the central city into Vietnam’s “Silicon Valley.”

This commitment was affirmed by Pham Minh Tuan, Executive Vice President of FPT Group and CEO of FPT Software, during a meeting with Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairman of its Commission for Internal Affairs, on June 13 in Da Nang.

Phan Dinh Trac praised FPT’s innovative development orientation, recognizing the group as a leading force in high technology and new technology in Vietnam. He highlighted that FPT’s research and business ventures are instrumental in advancing the fourth industrial revolution and artificial intelligence (AI) in the country.

Nguyen Tuan Phuong, Chairman of FPT Software Da Nang, reported that the FPT Da Nang IT Park has achieved significant milestones since its government recognition. The company employs over 5,700 staff, with a 2023 revenue surpassing 2.5 trillion VND (98.2 million USD), contributing more than 105 billion VND to the state budget. FPT Software Da Nang is targeting a 30% revenue growth, aiming for 3.4 trillion VND this year.

Moreover, FPT University Da Nang is currently educating over 17,500 students and has established the FPT Semiconductor Centre (Fsemi) to train and provide high-quality human resources for the city’s burgeoning semiconductor industry.
