Promoting the formation of a Vietnamese IT Business network in Japan

On March 28, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan hosted a gathering of Vietnamese IT enterprises in the East Asian nation, fostering an environment for them to exchange ideas, explore collaboration opportunities, and deliberate on strategies for advancing their community.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu, in his opening address, highlighted the significance of the IT sector, noting that Vietnamese companies have been among the earliest investors in Japan and have achieved notable success within the Vietnamese business community. He emphasized the growing importance of Vietnamese IT firms as key partners to major Japanese corporations, many of which have expanded their presence across various cities in Japan, accompanied by an increasing workforce.

The ambassador underscored the opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to further develop and engage in the IT sector, given Japan’s projected rise in demand for IT services. He emphasized the potential for such developments to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the realm of digital transformation.

During the conference, leaders from prominent Vietnamese IT firms such as FPT, Rikkei, VTI, and Hachix showcased collaborative projects with Japanese partners and shared insights on navigating the Japanese market. They also deliberated on strategies to foster the establishment of a cohesive Vietnamese IT business community in Japan, aimed at driving substantial growth through effective collaboration.
